Ms. Murphy is a professional engineer with 10 years of experience performing geotechnical and earthquake studies for sites throughout the United States and abroad for new and existing buildings, dams and offshore structures. Her background includes evaluating earthquake-related geotechnical and geologic hazards, and characterization of site-specific probabilistic and deterministic design ground motions. Ms. Murphy is capable of performing seismic hazard assessments, developing response spectra and associated suites of acceleration time histories and performing site response analysis for the dynamic analysis of structures.
Ms. Murphy has experience providing geotechnical construction observation, testing services, and geotechnical and foundation evaluations for a variety of projects. Her responsibilities include performing subsurface explorations, evaluating laboratory test results and running computer models to predict seepage, slope stability and ground deformations.
