Congratulations to Bryan Perrin, PE, for being selected as the 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Sacramento Section, Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer in the Private Sector. With seven years of professional experience focused in the civil engineering field, Bryan is quickly becoming the engineer of choice for clients. Upon meeting Bryan, clients are often surprised to discover his age given the level of experience and insight he brings to projects.
He might be young, but don’t let his youth deceive you. Bryan is an outstanding young civil engineer, who at this early stage in his career, is making substantial contributions to the engineering community through his involvement with ASCE and SAME. He is Past President of the ASCE Sacramento YMF, and has been actively involved with ASCE Sacramento YMF throughout his time as an officer. Through his leadership and involvement in YMF initiatives, including the holiday Toys for Tots toy drive and the annual golf tournament to support the Make-a-Wish foundation, ASCE Sacramento YMF has continued to flourish.
Most recently, Bryan performed emergency repair work after severe storms damaged significant infrastructure. He worked closely with the client, contractors, and SAGE’s engineering staff while performing full-time, onsite field engineering during construction of repairs. Bryan’s efforts allowed the client to safely restore access to critical energy facilities ahead of schedule and resolve difficult constraints in the field. During his time at the Army Corps, it is reported that Bryan showed the same can-do spirit while acting as an instrumental member of the civil design team for the Lake Isabella Dam Safety Modification project.
Join SAGE in congratulating Bryan Perrin!
